Our Amber

HISTORY OF AMBER

Amber was created from resin, which appeared in the form of golden drops on tree trunks when they were damaged or dying. The internal structure of amber, and therefore its unique beauty, colour, transparency and quality, depend on the conditions in which the hardened resin matured for millions of years. Baltic amber is particularly famous in this respect. The ancient Romans already appreciated its value and created a path to these precious treasures. In the 1st century AD, Baltic amber became the subject of intensive trade between the North and the South, and this route went down in history as the Amber Road.

AMBER 77 is a harmonious combination of modern designs with respect for the unique history and noble form of amber.

BALTIC AMBER

Baltic amber is a unique specimen whose history dates back 50 million years. It was created from the resin of the "amber tree" (Pinus succinifera) in exceptional environmental conditions, which gave it an extraordinary variety of colours – from light yellow, through cognac, to deep cherry. The transparency of amber depends on the number of gas bubbles, and rare shades, such as milky white or green, are created by natural processes and the presence of organic inclusions. Each piece of amber tells the story of the Baltic Sea and delights with its natural beauty.

CARIBBEAN AMBER

Caribbean amber, which dates back 10 to 30 million years, comes from the resin of an extinct tree Hymenaea protera. It delights with its delicate colors and exceptional transparency. Its natural colors include shades of yellow, green, brown and red, and the most valued is amber . Thanks to the pigmentation process, in our Caribbean collection you will find amber in shades of green and blue - a combination of nature and handicraft.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR JEWELRY

Amber 77 jewelry is made of amber, minerals, 925 silver, gold-plated silver and wood. We recommend removing jewelry before bathing and avoiding contact with chlorinated and salty water, detergents and cosmetics such as perfumes or creams. After removing it, it is worth storing the jewelry in such a way as to protect it from mechanical damage and sunlight. Gold-plated elements may wear off over time.
